Register Info

Who may attend?:

Classes are open to all adults of West Sacramento and neighboring communities. West Sacramento residency is not required.

Three Easy Ways to Register:

Walk-in or call in to set up a registration appointment:
The Washington Adult Education registration office is located at the Yolo Education Center at 919 Westacre Rd. Walk-in registration is possible on every Monday (unless it is a holiday), from 1:00pm to 3:00pm or call at (916) 375-7740 ext. 1561

Mail:
Complete the
registration form and mail it. 919 Westacre Rd. West Sacramento CA 95691

Fax:
Complete the
registration form and fax it (916) 375- 0928

*You are responsible to have your transcript with you when you come to enroll or have it faxed to the attention of Elizabeth Gutierrez before you come to enroll. If we do not receive your transcript you will have to wait to begin school. 

Career Advice:  Career advice is available free to all students. Career and job selection guidance is also available.

Children in class: 

The staff requests that students make off-campus child care arrangements as the presence of children and babies can be a distraction to other learners. Some ESL classes offer child care for participating students.  Please see the appropriate ESL Class.

There is no fee for registration

General Info

Book Deposits:

Some classes required to buy textbooks/books. Students are responsible for the full cost of lost or damaged books.

Credits

Credits earned apply to WUSD diploma requirements and may or may not be transferable to other agencies.

 Sorry, no other refunds or transfer of fees will be issued for any reason.

Course Cancellation or Withdrawal:

The Washington Adult Education reserves the right to discontinue, shorten, postpone, combine classes, and/or change instructors. 

Tobacco:  

All WUSD schools are tobacco free zones. Smoking is prohibited on or near any WAS campus.

Student Conduct: 

All WAE students are required to follow appropriate student conduct as prescribed in the WUSD Discipline Policy and WAE Code of Conduct. Students may be suspended or dropped for violations.

Weapons:

No weapons of any type are permitted on or near any WAE campus.

Lost Items:

WAE is not responsible for any lost or stolen items,  or any  item left behind in any of the classroom locations.

Food and Drinks:

No food will be allowed in classrooms and only drinks in approved, close-topped containers will be allowed.

Public Invitation:

Washington Adult Education is here for you.  We welcome your input for the improvement of  current courses and the creation of new courses. If you have an idea for a course you would like to take (or teach), please call the school and let us know.
