Evergreen Middle School
Evergreen Middle School is an Opportunity Program for students in grades six through nine located on the Yolo Education Center campus. Opportunity programs are designed to meet the needs of students who require small class sizes, multiple methods of instruction, and strong behavioral and counseling support to be successful in school. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive academic program guided by the common core which will prepare students with the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in college, career, and life. The teachers and support staff at the Yolo Education Center also work with students on the development of positive self-esteem, confidence, and personal growth, with the goal of helping students return to traditional schools and programs. The staff includes a general education teacher, a part time Special Education teacher, an instructional assistant and P.E. class provided by the Yolo High School P.E. teacher.
